Sensotec at BrailleTech 2012

BrailleTech, the Belgian fair for tools for blind and visually impaired persons, will take place from Thursday 18 to Saturday, October 20, 2012. The fair will take place in the premises of the Ligue Braille in Brussels.

At this exhibition, each visitor will have the opportunity to discover tools for blind and partially sighted people: tools for everyday life, customized mobile phones, optical loupes, magnifiers, magnification software, speech synthesis software, braille displays, …

A unique opportunity to compare products and to receive advice from the Ligue Braille team.

On Saturday, October 20, Sensotec presents information sessions:

  • at 12pm on Kurzweil 1000, the OCR and speech program which transforms your PC and scanner into an advanced reading system with speech output that helps you to communicate, write and study
  • at 14.30pm on Senso Math, software to convert mathematical formulas to an accessible format using Microsoft Word.

  • Itinerary:
    • Public transport: the offices of the League Braille are located on a 250 m distance from the railway station Brussels Midi and the subway station Porte de Hal.
    • By car: take the ring road until exit South (near the railway bridge on the North-South axis). There follow the direction of Bergen and Fonsnylaan. The England Street is the third street on the left.
